    The EPC is the decision-making and coordination body of the European banking industry in relation to payments. The EPC develops the payment schemes and frameworks which help to realise SEPA.

    As of now (apr 2014), EPC version 7.0 is the most commonly used by banks, and that version is one of them offered by XMLdation validation servivce as well.
