Maximum length of an MT message is dependant on the type of message in question.

When calculating the message length, all characters in the message header blocks, the text
block, and the trailers block are counted. This includes the beginning of block and end of
block characters { and }. Also included in the count are each occurrence of the two
characters Cr and Lf that indicate the start of each new line in the text block.
