Notice! This page describes the nature of the error using a hypothetical example and not the erroneous data of the input test file. You should however be able to apply this information to your error case.

    General description of the error:

The format of the error message: cvc-maxExclusive-valid: Value ''{0}'' is not facet-valid with respect to maxExclusive ''{1}'' for type ''{2}''.

Error description in schema standard: http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xmlschema11-2-20060217/datatypes.html#cvc-maxExclusive-valid

    Possible causes for this error:

    • Value given for element is too big compared to allowed maximum value. maxExclusive specifies the upper bounds for numeric values: the value must be less than this value and not equal (that's why it is maxExclusive)

    An example

    <Rate>5.1415926535</Rate>

Error message: Error cvc-maxExclusive-valid: Value '5.1415926535' is not facet-valid with respect to maxExclusive '4.0' for type 'PercentageRate'.

How to fix: Value given for 'maxExclusive' field must be less than the defined maximum value. In this case for example value "3.9"  is accepted because it is less than "4".

    <Rate>3.9</Rate>
