    Please note! This page describes the nature of the error using a hypothetical example and not the erroneous data of the input test file. You should however be able to apply this information to your error case.

    General description of the error:

    The format of the error message: ElementPrefixUnbound : The prefix "" for element "" is not bound.

    Possible causes for this error:

    • File with country specific namespace validated against pipe not expecting that namespace
    • Namespace prefix is defined within element, even though it is not expected (not bound to a namespace). For example:

     

    <xs:OrgId>
      <xs:Othr>
      

     

     

     

    Error message: Fatal Error ElementPrefixUnbound : The prefix "xs" for element "xs:OrgId" is not bound.

    How to fix:

    • removing xs:

     <OrgId>
      <Othr> 

     

     

     

    • Or by adding / fixing namespace declaration.

     <Document xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:pain.001.001.03">
